HubSpot partner tiers explained

Last updated: 2026-11-06 · Reviewed by Noah Charak, Managing Director

HubSpot's Solutions Partner Program has four tiers: Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite, the highest. A partner earns its tier with points for the HubSpot revenue of the customers it sources, helps close and manages, and Diamond and Elite also need a minimum revenue retention. Partners below Gold are listed as Solutions Partners without a tier. Since July 15, 2026, every partner pays HubSpot a membership of $400 a month unless its own HubSpot subscriptions reach that amount. You can check any partner's tier in HubSpot's Solutions Directory. Checkpoint GTM is a HubSpot Platinum Partner based in Berlin.

What are the HubSpot partner tiers?

HubSpot ranks its Solutions Partners in four tiers, from Gold up to Elite. Each tier has two point thresholds: a minimum of sourced points, from customers the partner brought to HubSpot, and a minimum of total points, which adds assisted and managed points. Diamond and Elite also need a minimum average Gross Revenue Retention (GRR).

HubSpot partner tier thresholds for the January 15, 2027 tier review
Tier Sourced points Total points Average GRR Sourced MRR it takes (outside growth markets)
Elite2,75011,000At least 80%$55,000 a month
Diamond1,2503,750At least 75%$25,000 a month
Platinum4251,275No minimum$8,500 a month
Gold115345No minimum$2,300 a month

Elite has three more conditions: an average GRR of at least 80%, at least 100 HubSpot user certifications among the partner's employees, and an invitation from HubSpot by email. Partners below the Gold thresholds stay in the program as Solutions Partners without a tier, as long as they keep at least 1 sourced point in a trailing 12-month period (enforced from January 1, 2027).

How do HubSpot partners earn a tier?

Points come from the monthly recurring revenue (MRR) that customers pay HubSpot, counted per $100 in three ways:

  • Sourced points. The partner found the customer and closed the deal: 5 points per $100 of MRR.
  • Assisted points. HubSpot found the customer and the partner helped close the deal: 3 points per $100 of MRR.
  • Managed points. The partner services an existing customer: 1 point per $100 of MRR.

Customers in the markets HubSpot lists as growth markets earn twice the points. On top of the points, every tier needs a valid Solutions Partner certification, which means at least one employee passes HubSpot's partner certification exam every 25 months, and the partner must be in good standing with the program.

How often do HubSpot partner tiers change?

A partner can move up a tier on the 15th of any month, once it meets the thresholds. It can move down only twice a year, at HubSpot's tier adjustment, and it keeps a tier for at least six months after it is credited. So a tier tells you where a partner stood at the last review, not this month's numbers.

What does the HubSpot partner program cost?

Since July 15, 2026, every Solutions Partner buys a Partner Program Membership of $400 a month (or the local currency equivalent), renewed once a year. HubSpot waives the fee for partners whose own HubSpot product subscriptions are $400 a month or more after discounts. HubSpot publishes one membership price for all partners.

As a buyer, you do not pay for your partner's tier. What reaches you is a program benefit: a Solutions Partner can waive HubSpot's one-time onboarding fee for its clients, up to a value of $6,000 per client, on plans that require one. Ask about it before you buy a Professional or Enterprise plan.

How do you check a HubSpot partner's tier?

A tier badge on a partner's own website is self-published. Check it where HubSpot publishes it:

  • Filter HubSpot's Solutions Directory by tier. The directory has a filter for Elite, Diamond, Platinum and Gold Solutions Partners, and lists tiered partners before untiered ones.
  • Read the tier badge on the profile. Each partner's listing in the directory shows its current tier.
  • Look at the accreditations separately. Accreditations are not tiers. HubSpot grants them for proven experience in one kind of work, and the directory lists six: CRM Implementation, Onboarding, Platform Enablement, Custom Integration, Data Migration and Solutions Architecture Design.
  • Ask about the people. The tier belongs to the firm. Ask for the names and HubSpot certifications of the people who will work on your portal.

The directory ranks profiles by review count as well as tier, so read the reviews too: they come from clients, while the tier comes from HubSpot's revenue numbers.

What does HubSpot Platinum partner status mean for a buyer?

Platinum sits above Gold and below Diamond and Elite. A Platinum partner has sourced at least 425 points of HubSpot business, roughly $8,500 of new monthly recurring revenue outside the growth markets, and has 1,275 points in total across sourced, assisted and managed customers. That takes a steady flow of HubSpot projects and customers who stay.

What a tier does not measure is the quality of your project. It counts HubSpot revenue, not the data model, the migration or the training your team gets. Use the tier to build a shortlist, then judge the partner on accreditations, the certifications of the people on your project, reviews and a reference from a project like yours. HubSpot partner tiers: questions, answered

What are the HubSpot partner tiers?

HubSpot's Solutions Partner Program has four tiers, from lowest to highest: Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite. HubSpot assigns them from points for the HubSpot revenue of the customers a partner sources, assists and manages. Partners below the Gold thresholds are Solutions Partners without a tier.

What is the difference between a HubSpot Gold and a Platinum partner?

The amount of HubSpot business behind them. For the January 15, 2027 tier review, Gold needs 115 sourced and 345 total points, and Platinum needs 425 sourced and 1,275 total points. Outside HubSpot's growth markets that is about $2,300 against $8,500 of sourced monthly recurring revenue. Neither tier has a minimum revenue retention.

How does a partner become a HubSpot Platinum Partner?

By reaching 425 sourced points and 1,275 total points, keeping a valid Solutions Partner certification (at least one employee passes HubSpot's partner certification exam every 25 months) and staying in good standing with the program. HubSpot checks for moves up a tier on the 15th of every month.

How much does the HubSpot partner program cost?

Since July 15, 2026, every Solutions Partner pays a Partner Program Membership of $400 a month, renewed once a year. HubSpot waives it when the partner's own HubSpot product subscriptions are $400 a month or more after discounts. HubSpot publishes one membership price for all partners, and a buyer does not pay for its partner's tier.

How can I check a HubSpot partner's tier?

In HubSpot's Solutions Directory. Filter by Elite, Diamond, Platinum or Gold Solutions Partner, or open the partner's profile, which shows its tier badge. A badge on the partner's own website is self-published, so confirm it in the directory.

What is a HubSpot Elite partner?

Elite is the highest tier. For the January 15, 2027 review it needs 2,750 sourced and 11,000 total points, an average Gross Revenue Retention of at least 80%, at least 100 HubSpot user certifications among the partner's employees, and an invitation from HubSpot.

Is a higher-tier HubSpot partner always better?

Not always. A tier measures the HubSpot revenue a partner brings in and keeps, not the quality of your project. A higher tier shows scale and a close working relationship with HubSpot. Judge the fit on accreditations, the certifications of the people on your project, reviews and a reference from a project like yours.

How often do HubSpot partner tiers change?

A partner can move up on the 15th of any month and move down only twice a year, at HubSpot's tier adjustment. A tier is kept for at least six months after it is credited. HubSpot also changes the thresholds: it last raised them on July 15, 2026.
